Day in Review - The Day After Halloween

Happy Halloween...it is NOT freakin' Christmas yet
It is November 1st...this is apparently the day that the holiday season officially begins.  Pardon me, I thought I still had some time.  I heard my first holiday song today..."Winter Wonderland"...on an indie internet radio station of all places. It is too early.  The day after Halloween should be spent fending off a candy handover and thinking about all of the Saints while you try to decide if you should eat a Snickers or Kit-Kat bar. (we all know you will eat both)

Maybe I am a Scrooge, but I will not participate in holiday merrymaking on November 1st. I will also not mention any Lohan's or Kardashian's because I don't think they matter to our world. It saddens me that legitimate news channels are focused on these two.  I know...its ratings and money...I get it, I just wish it wasn't like that.  I appreciate entertainment news...I'll be honest, I like entertainment news. I get all of the entertainment news I need from TMZ, People.com and from Lisa France on CNN.com. All of them do an amazing job at entertainment news.  I just don't think that any Lohan or Kardashian should be one of the top news stories in the first 3 minutes of a newscast. I could get on my soapbox about this because I seriously have no idea what contribution any Lohan or Kardashian brings to to my life but I won't, because there are some funny things I have discovered over the past few days.

Let's talk about one of my least favorite people...actually we will eventually talk about two of my least favorite people, but first lets focus on Harold Camping...you know this hottie....he is the guy who has predicted the end of the world three times (and been unsuccessful I may add)  He announced today that he is retiring. He also apologized for being wrong about predicting  the end of the world.

DUH!!!!

So on to my other favorite person, who I have not spoken about very often recently as she is just...well...not important?  It isn't like she was really important before, but she was more noticeable in the world I guess.  If you haven't guessed, I am speaking of Sarah Palin and I stumbled upon this photo randomly and just had to share...

It is not in my nature to ignore this...

If you cannot read what this picture says, this is honest to goodness Sarah Palin toilet paper. Not only is it Sarah Palin toilet paper, it is Sarah Palin toilet paper that isn't even worth $1.99...it is now on sale for 99 cents a roll. If this doesn't make me happy, not a lot will.

Speaking of happiness, I have been a bit "blah" recently.  I need to find some happiness I think.  I guess it's just that time of year.  I needed an attitude adjustment so I did do something that was not only unexpected but quite private.  I let it all go and that is all I will say on the subject. I feel better and I am anticipating good things.

One of the things I figured out when I was trying to find some happiness this week was that today, November 1st, 2011 is my 9 month anniversary of being tobacco free. There has not been a cigarette in my mouth since February 1st.  That is a happy thing, right?

Another happy thing I want to share is that I am estimating, by the end of this week, this blog...yes...my little blog, will hit 10,000 views.  TEN FREAKIN THOUSAND.  That is a huge deal for me.  I remember when it hit 1,000 and now it is up to 10,000.  I wonder if I should send that information to the guy from the last post who said no one ever reads this...MUHAHAHAHAHAHA

If anyone is wondering, I have given up on love, so I haven't been on any dates. I did watch a television show about a woman who is in love with and wanted to marry the Berlin Wall, so I am looking into that lifestyle.  I think the Terminal Tower is single and last I heard, Severance Hall just went through a bad break up so I may swing by both places and see if there is any interest.

Day in Review - Some May Say I'm a Dreamer

Lets have a blog post, shall we?  How is everyone out there?  Excellent, I hope! I have been busy, but I am happy to report I have been busy for a reason!  For those of you who don't know, I have signed on to a big writing project. For the first time EVER, writing is bringing in a majority of my income.  It's a huge step and an exciting thing for me. I am learning a lot and focusing on some skills that can take me far. (SEO anyone?)

Besides writing, I have been up to few other things and having some random ideas. Maybe it's all good...you know, that creative process...

Anywho...Chloe and I are adjusting to living with each other again.  She was gone for almost two weeks on vacation at my parents house (You know...Sarah and Todd...) and I was babysitting another dog. Once she came home she brought visitors.  Two chihuahuas...I was watching my "sisters" Maggie and Tia...I know I have mentioned them before. They are the chihuahua's that have taken the place of my sister and I in my parents home. They are fat, mean and bark too much, but as their designated babysitter and older sister, I try to have patience with them. This time, however...my patience hit it's breaking point.

Maggie, Tia and Chloe (L-R)

See...normally Maggie is a good girl and Tia is the problem child. However, this time the tables were turned....Long story short, I was in the bathroom beautifying myself (I know...I don't need to...). Tia and Chloe were wrestling with each other on the floor. I finished up my hair (Chloe and Tia still next to me)...took two steps outside of the bathroom...and it hit me...I smelled dog poop.

I slowly walked into the living room, following the putrid scent and what do I see?  This....

Yes...that is POOP on my shoes!!!!!

As you can see from the picture above, this was not an ideal situation. I honestly didn't know if I should laugh or cry. (I decided on both.) I immediately took this picture and sent to to my mom to show her what her sweet little dog did...as a side note, if you look closely there is a dark area in the upper left hand corner of the photo...that is PEE.  As soon as she shit on my shoe, she squatted and pissed right next to it...

For those of you wondering if I was abusing her by not taking her outside, she gone out approximately an hour before this...peed and pooped!  This was spite, I tell you...SPITE!

Now that I have that off my chest and the chihuahua's out of my home, it is just Chloe and I again.  I think she is on a hunger strike because I won't feed her moist food (I think it gives her diarrhea) but she gets it when she visits her grandparents. (They don't have to clean up her poop with a little baggie!) Apparently she feels the Beneful I supply in Lakewood isn't good enough for her Caesar refined palate. (She is giving me the stink eye now because I asked her if she liked it.  Maybe I should change her food)  Has anyone else noticed a poop theme tonight?

Moving away from poop...I had an awesome idea today.  My Aunt Debi lives in Albuquerque and I really want to go see her. I was looking at flights last night and the absolute cheapest I could find was $278 plus tax, so at least $300, plus spending money once I get there.  That's a lot for a struggling, but fabulous writer...enter FABULOUS idea...have you heard of those people who do things and go on these adventures like blogging their way across America?  Well I could take a road trip to Albuquerque and blog it! I could take Chloe and a random friend like Pippa Middleton and blog our adventures...you know, we would stop at places like the biggest ball of twine, etc.  I think it's a great idea!  All I need is a sponsor!  Anyone interested?  :)

Two more things before I sign off...I want to give a big shout out to my girl Jeannette for looking over my dating profile...hopefully it will help. So far the only takers I have gotten is a guy who looks like Janet Reno and a guy named "OhioStalion"....

I want to leave you today with a tweet from Joy Behar...love her or hate her, she is witty...this made me choke when I read it I was laughing so hard "Palin told reporters George Washington was her favorite founding father--and Weezie Jefferson was her favorite first lady."

 Til next time, my friends...

Weekend in Review - Don't Feed the Trolls , It Goes Right to the Hips!

Happy Monday, my friends! (and my enemies since you are probably reading this. I want you to have a very happy Monday as well.)

I will say this one time and one time only - This blog and the comments on the blog are open for all.  You can love the blog or hate the blog...it doesn't matter to me. If you love it, read it, share it, talk about it to your friends... if you hate it, don't! I appreciate all the feedback.  I would, however, appreciate if people don't say my dog is ugly.  She was made special by God and cannot help that she has large ears....

Chloe = Not Ugly

I want to have fun...so I am going to share the answers to some of the questions you have asked over the weekend.  I got a ton of questions!  It was really fun to read them. Without further ado...

Q: Are you ever on drugs when you write these?
A: I am never on drugs when I write blog posts, though I can see why you would think I was. I have been known to drink some wine while writing though.

Q: I think it's funny that you call your parents Sarah and Todd. Do you think Sarah Palin is the Antichrist?
A: My parents think it is funny too.  They jokingly now refer to themselves as Sarah and Todd at times. I don't think Sarah Palin is the Antichrist...I think she is an idiot.

Q. Hey Bristol...How is Sarah and Todd today!!!!!!!
A: You are funny....

Q. Are the things you write about true or are these fiction?
A: It's all true. I could never make this up!  I have an imagination but it's not this good!

Q: You are hot...would you accept e-mails from chicks? If not, I will be a guy...
A: If I can't find a guy soon, I may consider it...but only if this is someone on my list....

Q: If you didn't have Chloe, what kind of dog would you have?
A: If I didn't have Chloe, I would have a cat....or a fennic fox...I would probably pick a pug, cause I love Zoe...and pigs.

Q: Why are you so conceited?
A: Because I am a hot piece of arse, I am a television star, I am freaking hilarious, I have a beautiful dog, I make amazing food, take gorgeous photos, have awesome hair, have the most bright blue eyes that people get lost in, write poems that make people cry, have an impeccable taste in music, quit smoking all by myself, and take 2 "I am better than you" pills each morning.

Q. Why do you watch CNN? Why do you hate FOX News? (This is probably a boring answer until the end)
A: Let's start with FOX News...seriously, I realize that FOX News has a big following...for someone who has a more conservative outlook on news, politics, etc, I believe in their right to watch it. For my real answer...it sucks, plain and simple. This is my opinion -   It is totally biased, their anchors/hosts make me want to throw things at my television, they LIE, they have Sarah Palin on way too much, I don't like Greta Van Susteren's plastic surgery results  and get a little scared when she is on screen, (like I need my childhood blankie scared) and just the mention of the network gives me heartburn and nausea...

Now CNN - In all honesty...I only started watching CNN because I thought Anderson Cooper was hot...that was years ago. I also have an old man crush on Wolf Blitzer and think Jack Cafferty is hilarious. (I am watching it right now...He seriously just said Sarah Palin can't see India from her house!!! Pure old man comedy)   If I went with what I fully believe, I would probably watch MSNBC all the time...however, they are very left leaning...and though I go for that, and definitely watch it, I try to be responsible and get a less leftist view of the world and feel CNN is a little more in the middle than extreme left or extreme right. If I get real honest...I actually only watch CNN in the mornings (when Golden Girls isn't on)/afternoon...unless there is someone great on Piers Morgan Tonight I want to see...

(If you skipped the FOX News vs CNN rant above, join us here...If I sent you a special "Are you Mentioned Message", you are mentioned down here!)

I want to leave you today with some words of coded wisdom from me to you...ok...from me to my favorite "Hater". If you are not the "Hater" you may stop reading if you wish...you may also just want to figure out where my brain is going with this, if you are someone who likes mysteries and code...

I will always fight for the voice of an angel that touches my soul, England is where my heart lies.
Effects that go far beyond notes on a page and transport a mind across time and space.

I will always cheer for the one who unexpectedly entered my dream, in auburn and blue. Fear stands in the way and the unknown looms. I push away and still the universe makes it happen. I wait for the sign from the south. Discretion is mandatory.

I will always soar when adversity appears. I have never walked the same path as others. Though others think they know whats right, I feel the direction I need to travel. Coins fall from cups.

I will always stand against the cold and empty wind. I will report what I see and know, bringing cheer to some, terror to others, all with the same words. We all have a place, mine is set, is yours?

Day in Review - If I Knew a Pig...I Would Hug One Today

Happy March 1st....National Pig Day.  (It is also free Pancake Day at IHOP and Beer Day....but only if you live in Iceland.) Even more exciting, it is my 1 month anniversary of NOT SMOKING!  I have only been off the M&M's for about a week though....still a little shaky in that department.  I am enjoying the Junior Mints sitting on my desk right now though....
This is a pig...not a Palin.  Don't be confused.

As the title of this post says, if I knew a pig...I would hug one today. I know some pig-like creatures...my mom's chihuahua Tia sounds like a pig....Sarah Palin of course...(lipstick on a pig...or was that a pittbull? In her case, we will keep pig)...pugs kind of look like pigs now that I think about it...but cute ones...I know a few pugs...Zoe is Chloe's friend so I will tell Laurel to give Zoe a hug from me today.  (As long as she isn't offended that I called her dog a pig. I love pigs!)

Zoe the Pug...not Pig sitting with "Egypt" the Gourd...not Pumpkin

Speaking of pigs, I heard Bristol Palin is writing a memoir.  I have been doing some digging around and may have gotten my hands on an excerpt of the writing.  If I can get it, I will post it here is the next few days...

My question of the day is...what can a 20 year old possibly have to put in a memoir??  I am 12 years older than she is and I have maybe a chapter or two for a memoir!  (Nothing very exciting really happens to me though and my mother has not been the Governor of Alaska.  My mom can tell you anything you would like to know about dental procedures and spoiling little dogs and children though)  Hopefully this question will be answered soon...it will be...believe me.  I have my eyes on the prize of this scoop...

Speaking of...well...no good segue here....I have to start writing another little e-book this week so I may again be MIA.  I am really trying to shuffle things.  I absolutely love blogging here, but my time has to be spent with paid work right now until I hit it big.  This one should be a blast though....all about online dating...a topic all of you regular readers know is near and dear to my heart. For new readers, you can learn about my online dating experiences here: Why I am Still Single....

I have 5 goals today...writing this post was one of them...another was getting a Shamrock Shake in celebration of my one month Stop Smoking anniversary.  Check that off too! Two goals down...3 to go...it's going to be a loooong night!

Day in Review - No Post Today....I am Meditating....

Since I need a huge mental break, I will spend the remainder of the evening finishing my work, writing my "Wanted Ad" and watching the DeGrassi Marathon on Teen Nick (Yes, I know...I am 32...don't remind me)

Please enjoy this video in my absence...It is her birthday today...

This is what I have so far for my Wanted Ad:

Wanted: Valentine. Please know how to spell. Please be taller than me. (I am 5'5") Please have the philosophical views of Dave Matthews, the political views of Sherrod Brown and the sense to know when to hold em' and fold em' like Kenny Rogers. (Please do not look like him) I am looking for someone to prove to me that all men are not the same. If you send a picture of your penis I will not talk to you any more.

What do you think?

Day in Review - Sprucing Up, Learning Chinese and Workout Anxiety

Ni hao. For those of you who do not know, that is Hello in Chinese. I heard on CNN yesterday that all of us should learn Chinese because China will become more integrated into American life in the next 10 years. I am teaching myself how to spell the words in the English Alphabet since my computer won't type Chinese characters. So far I know how to say "Hello", Ni Hao and "I would like an order of sweet and sour chicken, please" - Wo xiang yi tang cu ji zhixu, qing.  I figure that's all I will need to know for today...

Did you notice I have spruced the blog up a bit?  I seriously considered moving it to a new platform, but honestly, I couldn't be bothered with learning a whole new system, so to satisfy my urge for change, I just moved some things around and changed the background.  Nice?  Do you like?  It spoke to me through my screen, so this is the one I chose.

Saw on Huff Post today that Todd Palin is involved in some prostitute/affair scandal...Love it!!!!  I do hope my "best friend" Sarah is all right...All I have to say is karma is a bitch sometimes.

So I am supposed to work out tomorrow....and I am having some anxiety about it.  Not the type of anxiety where I need to pop a few Xanex or anything, but I have always had a fear of working out. It isn't because it's tough...I can handle that. It isn't because I will be sore...that's what Tylenol is for.  The real reason is...well...I am not extremely coordinated. See, I have an issue where I will just randomly trip and fall on my ass sometimes.  No snow, no ice, just walking...I am plain clumsy. There have been many instances where I just fall.  I have broken my wrist twice...once tripping over my dog, once tripping over my iron. I fell in the middle of Central Park once...I have fallen down stairs, I have tripped over air....I spill things on myself all the time, which is why I don't often wear white.  I don't know if this is something I am just naturally excellent at, or if I can blame my parents for crappy genes in the coordination department, but it all comes down to this...I have Workout Anxiety.

This all started when my friend Laurel invited me to check out her new gym with her. I immediately agreed because, at the time, I thought it sounded like a good idea!  I was pumped for about 20 minutes...until I had a vision....it was a vision of me....falling....off an elliptical....in front of one of those big windows where about 20 other people could see me.  Yes...this really happened to me.  I know the person it happened with is probably peeing her pants right now...I know she reads this.  Not only was I mortified beyond belief, but I got hurt! I had a bruise the size of my hand on my leg, a scrape on my arm and hit my head in the process.  Go ahead...you can laugh.  I can laugh about it now, and you better believe the friend I was with was doubled over in laughter the entire time this was going on. (This was not the same friend who was with me in Central Park when I fell in front of about 1000 people, but she laughed too, for the record)

Since I have had this suppressed memory return, I have had anxiety about going. I know I have to do it and I know I need to face my fears. When I get anxiety about one thing, it just naturally leads to something else...I now have anxiety not only about falling, but what I am supposed to wear? Should bring my shoes with me or wear them? (it is snowy out, my sneakers aren't the best snow shoes), Will I remember to put on deodorant? What I should do with my hair? Should I take a shower before and after or just after?  What if I have to pee? What if there is a really hot guy there and I am a sweaty, red faced mess? What if I can't figure out how to work the machines? Ok...I need to stop, because I will need a Xanex if I keep going.

Maybe I should mediate before going....I will keep you posted....

I have never told anyone about this anxiety or the event that led to it.  Of course my friend who was with me knows...and the 20 people who saw know...I'm sure I probably told my dog too, because I tell her random things like that...but now you all know and hopefully you will remember this, if you ever see me at a gym...or even walking down the street, for that matter....take cover...and step away....you may go down with me.

Oh!  I almost forgot!  Seriously...the REAL Russell Simmons friended me on MySpace....RaNdOm!!!!!

Day in Review - Updates, Dog Baths and Rainy Days

Wow. First I want to say, I don't think I can top yesterday's post.  It was, by far, the most successful ever.  Thank You's and Shout Out's to all the readers out there.

I wanted to update everyone on some recent developments:
First, I wanted to let everyone know, I found out my parking ticket was reversed! Justice prevailed and shone down on me from the City of Cleveland. Now the funny thing about this is I got the letter, read through it, jumped up and down in excitement a few times then read it again...It said....

"Hearing Examiner (name omitted for his protection) has gathered sufficient information to conclude the parking meter at which this ticket was issued was not in proper working condition. For this reason the ticket is reversed..."

No I am not complaining in any way, shape or form, but THE METER WAS NOT BROKEN!!!!!  It was your insufficient METER MAID who can't take the time of day to double check before they write out tickets!!!!

Now that I have gotten that out of my system and can cancel my trip to the Supreme Court of the United States of America, my second update is concerning the post I wrote yesterday about the penis picture. As I explained, I had sent the gentleman (AKA loser freak) a message saying I was not interested in seeing him.  I got a response from him today.  It simply said "So that's it?????"   I felt no response was in order.

My third update, though not really an update, is just another funny thing I said to my dog today.  It is rainy today, snow is melting and since dog owners in my neighborhood can't seem to pick up their dog's poop when they go, there are piles of this poop scattered around the grassy areas where any smart dog would like to do their business.  My snow, white little girl Chloe Darlene decided to high tail it after an errant bird today and ran through a pile of poo that seriously looked like it was from a cow or possibly small elephant. Her two snowy white front paws were covered! I made her walk through the snow for a few minutes to get as much off as possible, but they were still a "brown mustard" yellow color.  I brought her back into the apartment and started running the water in the sink to clean her off.  She struggled against me and I said quite loudly..."Well, if you hadn't stepped in poop, this wouldn't be happening now!"  It was then that I heard my new neighbor close the door....

Everyone seems blah today for some reason. I know it's rainy in Cleveland today, but it can't possibly be raining everywhere, so I won't blame it on that. A Tuesday after a Holiday perhaps?  I am a bit blah today myself, but I would like to give you a minute or two of laughs if you can handle it....this video made me cry I was laughing so hard.  I believe it is from the "3rd Annual Sister Sarah Palin Retirement Home for Tea Baggers Talent Show", but I may be wrong....

On that note, I am going to watch "Pretty in Pink".

Day in Review - I Wonder What the Neighbors Think....

Cold and snowy day in Cleveland. I got about 6 inches of snow at my place. The poor dog is having a heck of a time going "potty" outside.  Luckily she has big ears, so I was able to see her when she fell in some sort of random divot today.  She is Ok, don't worry. She did have to have a sweater change though.

Walking dogs in the snow is tough.  I walked two today, in addition to my own, both big, furry and loving the snow on the ground. After I fell for the 2nd time, I said hell with it and came home. Now my ass hurts, but I am warm, comfortable and there is no snow in here. This is just a warning about karma....I laughed at my mom for falling yesterday, so of course, today, I fall twice.

Speaking of dogs...and attempting to not sound too insane, I was thinking today about how much I talk to my dog. I always say good morning to her when she wakes up, I ask her if she wants to go outside and if she wants to eat. She always comes into the bathroom with me and we have deep conversations about life (That's a joke...I don't spend that long in the bathroom)....

Just off the top of my head today I told her how harebrained I think Sarah Palin is, I told her it is was very snowy and cold out, I told her to stop licking the carpet (she has an obsessive-compulsive thing where she walks around the whole house licking rugs and the carpet on the floor), I told her she absolutely could not take her Platypus outside with her (She had her favorite toy, "Platty" in her mouth as we were walking out the door) and I had to take my calcium because it is good for my bones (She was begging, thinking it was a treat).

Now am I the only one who does this? Should I seek professional assistance?  This led me to wonder if my neighbors can hear the one-sided conversation that goes on in my apartment...do they hear random snippets as I am standing by the door?

"No! You can't take your platypus!"  - Possibly the first time this sentence has been said in the history of the world.
Platty the Platypus

"STOP LICKING THE CARPET!!"  - I don't even want to know what they are thinking on that one...

"ARRGHHHHH  What are you thinking, Sarah Palin?!?!?!?" - Obviously this sentence has been written many times in the history of the world.

"Wolf Blitzer is a cute guy!" - Sue me...I have some kind of old man crush on Wolf...

"HA HA HA HA HA HA" - Me TOTALLY laughing out loud with a huge guffaw at a movie the other night ("Sorority Boys"...it was hilarious....check it out if you have the chance).

So looking at these independent quotes, it does make me wonder what the neighbors think...luckily there is no one across the hall at the moment, but I dare say, at some point in the near future, I will have new neighbors.

Perhaps I should make some cookies for them so at least I have a good first impression...then it can all go to hell in a hand basket.

Day in Review - Festivus For the Rest of Us

It is December 23rd and I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Merry Festivus.

The Festivus pole is up, the meatloaf has been eaten (disguised as a really good hamburger) and now it is time for the Airing of Grievances.

To Congress - Though I will admit I praised you yesterday and earlier in the week, that was really only 5 days out of 365. You have disappointed me greatly. For much of this year, I found myself watching your actions in disgust. The bitching, moaning, fighting, disagreeing and incompetence on many issues was utterly nauseating. You sat there in your cozy, warm offices while millions of unemployed American's counted their dollars....then their pennies...then nothing...You held critical unemployment payments with your arguing while millions lost their homes and had to explain to their children why they couldn't eat tonight. You failed to pass the DREAM Act and could now send millions of children away from the only home and culture they have ever known.

To the cast of Jersey Shore - You have made American's dumb. You have embarrassed the New Jersey Coast and Italian Americans. You have introduced stupid slang words into the lexicon that have no real meaning.

To the Tea Party - Please...just go away.

To Lindsay Lohan - You are a train wreck...get it together so we can stop spending our time wondering when you are going to screw up again. Disappointing....

To Blackberry - You need to make your phones of a higher quality. I am on my third Blackberry since March of 2010 through no fault of my own. I love you, Blackberry, but I am disappointed in your performance this year. Please do better in 2011.

To Oprah - I am disappointed you are taking Discovery Health off of my TV. I still love ya' though! Your new network better be damn good.

To Sarah Palin - I am disappointed in all that comes from you. You have your soap box, you have your influence, yet you use it for evil. Please carry a dictionary around with you in 2011.

To Arizona - Your Immigration Law blows....

To Tiger Woods, Jesse James and allegedly Tony Parker - Cheating on your wife = failed career.

To the Westboro Baptist Church - God is watching you...and he is mad.

Day in Review - I miss Bill Clinton

Today, I realized I certainly miss seeing Bill Clinton's face on TV...too bad he can't get re-elected.

News round up today - Serious events going on, for sure. Every few minutes it seemed like there was a new "Breaking News" tweet coming through on my Blackberry.

The Good:

"Elizabeth Smart Gets Justice" - We all remember when Elizabeth Smart disappeared and was miraculously found 11 months later back in 2002. Brian David Mitchell, the man who did it was found guilty of two counts of kidnapping Smart in 2002 and transporting the then-14-year-old girl across state lines with the intent to engage in sexual activity. He will be sentenced on May 15th, 2011.

"Missing Virginia Girl Found" - In some kind of weird cosmic irony, on the same day Elizabeth Smart's abductor was found guilty, Britney Mae Smith, of Roanoke, VA was found safe and alive in California. The alleged abductor was her mother's boyfriend Jeffrey Scott Easley. Her mother, Tina Smith, was found dead in her car in Roanoke, VA on Tuesday.

The Bad: Rather quiet on the bad front today...though I will say I think something is pretty "Bad Ass"

"Bad Ass Bernie Sanders" - Today, in a non-filibustery way, Independent Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont had a marathon speech, as he and his team are calling it, in opposition of the Bush-Era tax cuts that President Obama is wheeling and dealing to extend, with the GOP. He lasted 8 hours and 35 minutes on the Senate floor. CNN says the record is 24 minutes and 18 minutes.

Another "Bad Ass", Julien Assange's team was relatively quiet today...weird I think...perhaps not. I may just be trying to start a conspiracy theory.

The Ugly:

"Bill and Barrack: Friends Forever" - President Obama, today called in the big guns, in the form of President Bill Clinton to sell the American public on his Bush-Era tax extensions. Seriously, President Obama said a few words...then left! Clinton stayed for about 40 minutes answering questions. Amazing to see a former President taking the stage from the present one. We shall see in the next few days if this tactic worked.

"Poor Haiti" - I feel bad for Haiti. It seems like the poor country can't catch a break. Just this year there was a horrific earthquake...then another earthquake 8 days later. 10 months after that, still a devastated country, there is a Cholera epidemic. Now, to add insult to injury, it was announced just today that Sarah Palin will be visiting. Though I would never wish Cholera on anyone...

Speaking of Haiti...apparently someone named Haiti...or @Haiti_ is following me on Twitter. Good to know I am getting full countries interested in my random thoughts.
